About Huthwaite - Meet Our People
Nigel Owen - Business Director for Information Technology
Nigel joined Huthwaite International in 2005 as a Business Development consultant, a role in which he successfully delivered a series of behaviour change projects to improve the sales performance of a range of high profile, multi-national companies. He has a wealth of experience across a variety of industry sectors including Aerospace, Government agencies, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Professional Services, and IT. He predominantly presents at board level and has great flexibility when communicating at all levels within an organisation.
He has full capability across the entire Huthwaite portfolio of products and applies his consulting expertise when clients are seeking a highly tailored solution. He has focused on equipping clients with the tools, skills and software for effective coaching as means of getting the job done while developing others at the same time.
Nigel has been operating globally for several years and acknowledges the diverse cultures between types of organisations. He has also implemented global projects and helped align sales, marketing and customer support functions across different geographic regions and notably in the UK, Europe, Central Eastern Europe and the Nordics.
In 2010 Nigel became the Business Director for Information Technology, fronting new business opportunities across Enterprise, Application, Communications, IT Services and Hardware organisations. Nigel has a particular interest in maximising the use of IT to achieve sustainable behaviour change for clients. He is also a keen advocate of the Huthwaite Virtual Training Campus, integrating its use to benefit the customer.
Nigel's general approach is flexible, performance centred, and he enjoys the sharing of joint success. He is willing to take people out of their comfort zone and place them where they need to be, not necessarily where they want to go. He has spoken at company level sales kick-off events and has had articles published specialising in the IT sector. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management.
