Julian Farrell - Business Development Consultant

Julian's role at Huthwaite International is as a Business Development Consultant. He joined the Huthwaite group in 2008 and became very quickly capable of delivering the full range of the group's commercial skills. Prior to joining the Huthwaite group he worked in a variety of business training and coaching roles including retail banking, sales and customer service, collections and recovery. Other roles include working as a tele-team Manager - overseeing tele-sales and service both inbound and outbound - recruitment, and training from induction to one-on-one coaching. He also had a brief spell as a diving instructor.


Julian offers the full portfolio of Huthwaite products and services from major account selling and negotiating through to its suite of customer service programmes, with most of his industry experience being in Manufacturing, IT and Consulting. He has particular interest in negotiation skills and how skills are applied successfully for both sellers and buyers/procurement and is very experienced in this area.


As a team member for clients that include some of the world’s largest IT and Manufacturing companies, he plays a key delivery role in some of Huthwaite's most challenging international work. He works on a variety of projects, aligning materials and training within an organisation while accounting for regional diversities. This work has seen him deliver programmes across four continents in a range of northern and eastern European countries, North Africa, the Middle East, the USA and as far afield as Pakistan and Indonesia.


He has worked at all levels within a company including senior management, sales managers, country managers, sales people, procurement and for B2B and B2C channels, consultancy, resellers and working with clients selling to the public sector. Julian's relaxed style of delivery encourages enthusiastic participation and appeals to all different levels within organisations. He enables delegates to achieve their own goals as well as corporate ones whilst making the training as enriching and valuable as possible.
